T'was the night before Christmas, and many a jolly jokers were 'round about. All accept one lone boy, who went by the name of Uchiha, Uchiha Sasuke.
This little humbug was sitting on a branch, watching a happy world pass him by. This little Humbug of neigh twelve years watched beyond a glass window, as happiness danced mockingly around the vibrant Christmas tree.
But, oh, what-ho? What's this? Bounding down the stairs came a pink-haired Pixie, swirling, and twirling, and dancing to her own delight. Eagerly, she fell to her knees to caress the brightly wrapped presents of joy that were to be given and received. For this Pixie had parents.
And this Pixie… was naughty. The mischievous Pixie carefully picked at her presents, a sugar coated vulture. The dark-haired Grinch watched with eyes of ice. Was this what Christmas was all about?
Greed, splendor, and lavish gifts?
The dark Grinch turned green. Not with envy, but with disgust. He leapt from his shadowy perch. If this is what Christmas was, he wanted no part of it.
Grinch roamed the streets, greed, and lavish expenses' running rampant, uncontrolled wherever he eyes traveled.
"Hey, Uchiha!" The blonde Tiny Tim called out, tell-tale fox whiskers sending out a message of happy jubilation.
"What?" Grumpy Grinch snapped, not in the mood for Tiny Tim's meager antics.
"Uhh…" The tiny blonde hung his head as the floor seemed to spill all of it's tightly sealed secrets to downcast Tim. Green Grinch starred at Tiny Tim for a moment, before passing him by. "Wait, I'm kind of… well, I'm kind of broke, Sasuke," Tiny Tim looked up at the stern humbug hopefully. He looked down his nose at Tiny Tim. And all he saw was Christmas. Horrible, greedy Christmas.
"No, pay for it by washing dishes or something," the grumpy Grinch waved him away, starting to walk past him.
"Hey! Where's your Christmas spirit, man?" Tiny Tim demanded, folding his arms across his chest and stepping in the unhappy humbugs path.
The Grinch stopped, Tiny Tim's words hitting a nerve in his two-sizes too-small heart. "I hate Christmas," the Grinch announced, drilling holes into Tiny Tim's head with black orbs of frozen stone.
"You… you what?" Tiny Tim's shocked blue orbs grew wider. "How can you say that?" his tiny voice raged, "Christmas is all about giving to others and being given to! You can't hate Christmas!"
"Giving?" he repeated, disgusted. "I've seen what Christmas is really about. It's about nothing but greed and selfishness, all wrapped up in a pretty box." He crossed his arms and glared at the sunny boy.
Tiny Tim crossed his arms and looked away defiantly, "no! That's not what Christmas is about, and I'll prove it!" Cold snow began to redden Tiny Tim's cheeks just that much.
The green Grinch raised an eyebrow, "and how are you going to do that?" He asked, smirking.
Tiny Tim uncrossed and arms and took a step forward. "Like this," he grabbed the Grinch's wide collar and pulled him forward into a brief, warm embrace. Tiny Tim pushed Sasuke away as quickly as he had embraced him and scampered off with a shout of, "Merry Christmas, baka!" leaving the shocked Grinch standing, frozen, in the open, white road for a moment. He thought Naruto was going to kiss him.
Shaking off his disappointment quickly, the Grinch ran after Tiny Tim in a winter game of Cat and Mouse.
Maybe Christmas wasn't that bad after all…
