This is for LaPaige's 101 challenge. This is to the prompt "Child". Hope you like it.

Disclaimer: If I owned all this I wouldn't be on here, right?

Child

He was always the oldest.

Yet, he acted as if he was the youngest.

They don't know why he acts that way.

He was supposed to be the responsible one.

The youngest was the responsible one, though.

He had been like that since he was a child.

She was always so responsible.

She acted as if she was in charge of every situation.

That was the way she was raised.

She never had time for fun.

She didn't even know the meaning of fun.

She had been like that since she was a child.

That is, until she met him.

She was so mad.

She had ordered a new pair of Prada heels and they were supposed to come in the next day.

They didn't.

She was walking along the path to the lake talking on her phone.

"Where are they? They were supposed to be here but they're not! Where are my shoes?" She yelled into the device.

He was listening to his ipod down by the dock.

His favorite song came on.

He started dancing to it.

He didn't pay attention to anything around him.

He just got lost in the music.

She snapped her phone shut in frustration.

She heard music playing faintly and looked over to the source of it.

She saw him dancing like a crazy maniac.

She walked over to him.

He didn't stop dancing.

She was getting impatient.

She grabbed one of his earphones, ripped it out of his ear and yelled "JASON!!!!!!"

He stopped dancing.

He put his ipod on pause and said "Ow…! What the bloody hell was that for Tess?"

Tess looked at Jason with a plainly annoyed face.

"What the hell were you doing? Who says bloody hell anymore?" She said.

She didn't like to be bothered.

"I was dancing. As for 'Who says bloody hell', I do." Jason told her.

"That certainly was not dancing."

"Yes it was."

"No it wasn't."

"Yes it was. Dancing doesn't have to be choreographed. It can be fun too." He told her.

"Fun?" she asked, now interested.

"Yeah, fun. You know, F-U-N." He said and began to sing the fun song from Sponge Bob.

"F is for friends who do stuff together……."

Before he could get any farther she stopped him.

"I got it." She said annoyed now.

She never liked Sponge Bob.

"Fine then lets put on a song that you can have fun to." He said and took his ipod speakers out of the backpack next to him.

He put up the wireless antenna and plugged in his ipod. He turned on the song "Dancing through Life" from the musical WICKED.

She stared at him as he danced along and acted out the words.

She started to laugh at him.

He just smiled and kept dancing.

She started to laugh harder.

When the lyrics "Find the prettiest girl, give her a whirl," came on he grabbed her hand and twirled her around and she started laughing.

She was actually having fun.

She finally learned how to be a child, even though it was a bit late.
