Title: My Brother

Disclaimer: I only own this story. Not Doctor Who or any of it's totally brilliant characters.

Description: The Doctor looks back at his childhood with The Master

A/N: Hey everyone! I was listening to "The Sound Of Drums" by Chameleon Circuit, a band all about Doctor Who! Anyways, I felt really bad for both The Doctor and The Master so I wrote this real quick. I know it's short, sorry about that. Read, review, and enjoy!

Brothers; that's what we were. Sure, it wasn't by blood, but we still acted like brothers nonetheless.

I remember playing with the other children in my youth. An entire group of us would run around and play games. Life was so carefree back then.

Sometimes we would play in the streets, where people would laugh as we ran by. Well, some would yell at us; scold us for running around where someone could get hurt. Not once did we listen to any of those people and stop running. We were just children who wanted to have fun.

If we weren't playing with the other kids in the streets, the two of us would be in the hills. It's breathtaking; the way the snow-capped mountains sparkle under a set of twin suns in the winter. The red grass was always so soft underneath my bare. I liked the city, but I loved the mountains. They had the best view; you could see so much from them. Like the city from a distance; the climbing structures and buildings.

Him and I used to be close. I didn't have any real siblings, but I did think of him as one. That changed over time, of course. In the end though, when I realized that it hadn't really been his fault, I forgave him. After all, he had been manipulated and used for someone else's selfish purposes.

He's gone now. I'll never get to see him again. Yet. I know I'll never forget him. He is my brother, after all.
