Summary: What I think should've happened at the end of 'leaving Las Vegas'.

Grissom had been all over the lab looking for her, however she was no where to be found. 'Maybe it's for the best' he thought to
himself as he passed the locker rooms. 'Or not', he said aloud as he saw her standing at her locker. "Hey, my cab's here" he said. "So
your going" Sara said as she folded her jacket over her arms. With a small smile Grissom nodded, "Yeah". "I'll see you when you get
back" said Sara as she turned back on him and faced her locker once again. Grissom stood there for a second, not knowing what to do.
Finally after seeing if anyone was around, he walked up beside her and took her hands in his. "I'll miss you", he said in a low whisper
as she lowered her head. "Sara" he asked. As Sara rose her head, Grissom could see the tears forming in her eyes. "Honey, don't cry.
I'll be back before you know it. I have to go" he said as he wiped the tears from her eyes. Slowly he lowered his lips to her, placing a
soft but yet passionate kiss on her lips. As he pulled away he smiled, "I love you". Sara watched without saying a word as Grissom
walked away, away from Vegas, away from the lab, and away from her.
It only took a matter of moment for Sara to close her locker and hope that she would catch Grissom before he left. "Griss" she yelled
as she came running out of the building. "Yeah" he called as he turned around only to see that it was Sara whom was calling him.
"Sara are you okay?" he asked. "We're strong right? I mean our relationship, us we're strong?" she asked. "Sara it's only 4 weeks" he
answered. "I know. I just can't help but think you're leaving because of me, because of us" she said, as she tried to fight back the tears.
"I love you, and I am not leaving because of you or because of us. You are the reason why I'm coming back. I just need a break, a
break from this" said Grissom as he pointed towards the lab. "Not us". "Okay" Sara said as she wiped the tears from her eyes. "I have
to go" Grissom said as he pulled Sara into his arms and as he pulled away placed a soft kiss on her temple.
Turning away Grissom opened the door to his cab, with one last quick look he waved goodbye to the women he loved. "Hey Griss"
she called once again. "Yeah Sara" he asked as he rose from his seat. "I love you too", she said with a smile. "I know. I'll call you when I
get there" he said as he smiled and closed the door to his cab. Sara stood there watching as the cab drove off in the distance, it's lights l
ost with the lights of Las Vegas. Smiling she turned and headed back into the lab, knowing that in just 4 weeks he'd be coming back,
coming back to the lab, coming back to Vegas, back to the lab, and back to her.
