Sokka saw her form across the room. Wearing the fire nation dress she was supposed to be blending in, the drapes of crimson falling from her shoulders to gather at her petite waist, then to fall loosely down to the ground leaving her back bare. Tonight for some reason she just wasn't blending, he couldn't keep his eyes of her.

Toph his partner in crime, who would thrash him against a boulder for no reason, looked indeed beautiful. Jump Sokka, he told himself. Just jump over. Without him noticing he had already crossed half the room and was steadily making his way towards her.

"Toph, do you want to dance?" He held out his hand beaming.

"Dance? Sokka are you serious! I'm blind idiot," flicking his hand away she turned her back to him.

"You don't need to see to dance, you feel and listen to the music. And you listen better than anyone." He saw her twitch for fingers, he thought as if to punch him. "Fine," Abruptly turning and grabbing his hand, she led him to the floor.

Delicately placing her hand on his shoulder, then grabbing his hand Sokka thought he had the wrong girl. She was being, well, gentle. Letting out a deep sigh she began to move perfectly in time with the music. Sokka still stunned by the gentleness was taken aback further by her fluid movement.

"Don't just stand there Snoozles," Swiftly doing a heel toe movement, a small lump of earth came up under his foot, jerking Sokka out of his frozen statue. "And if you tell anyone that I'm can dance, you will pay."

Taking the lead Sokka and Toph moved together in perfect unison. Hands grasping and letting go as one spun and the other caught, a smile slowly creeping on both faces, leaving the pair slightly out of breath as the song came to a close.

"Toph, why didn't you tell me you could dance?" Drawing her closer as not to speak to loudly, a blush rose to her cheeks as he did.

"My parents... they suck." "No, you did beautifully." A blush now rising to his cheeks.

"Well Snoozles the threat still stands," unthreading her hand from his.

As she walked away, the slight swing of her hips a point of hypnosis, he thought to himself. See, was it hard?
