I know that I normally write for the McFly fandom, but I just found this on my laptop - written when I was ten - and I really like it. Enjoy!
Remus Lupin notices all the little things.
He notices the skinniness of Harry, with his wrists so tiny they look ready to snap.
He notices how stiff his movements are, much like himself after a full moon.
He notices the bruises on his arms when his robes slip up.
He notices the deep purple bags under Harry's eyes, like storm clouds tainting a summer day.
He notices how quietly spoken Harry is, a trait he sometimes shares.
Remus Lupin notices the big things as well.
He notices the way Harry flinches if someone moves too quickly near him.
He notices the fact that he visibly shrinks back from Malfoy, and from Snape.
He notices how Harry refrains from answering in class.
He notices how sad Harry looks when he thinks no one is watching.
Remus Lupin hates to see it all.
He hates to see the bolts and the cat flap on Harry's door.
He hates to see how his frame has shrunken even further since the year before last.
He hates to hear how badly Harry feels towards his uncle.
He hates to see James Potter's son acting like a rabbit caught in headlights.
Most of all, he hates to see the way Harry flinches backwards when he tried to hug him. Because hugging Harry is the only way he can feel anywhere near complete again.
