AN – Ok, this is during the Ishbal Rebellion.
.::Late Evening::.
Edward and Alphonse were heading back to Central Headquarters after yet another search for the Philosopher's Stone. They were just about to head inside when a car drove up beside them. Driving it was Havoc.
"Yes? Is something wrong," Edward asked.
"Ed, Roy needs you east of Central," was all Havoc said before facing forward, ready to begin driving again.
Edward and Alphonse shrugged and hurried into the car. "What's wrong east of Central?" Alphonse asked.
"I'm not exactly sure," Havoc replied. As he drove, he lit a new cigarette and placed it in his mouth. "He didn't tell me anything except that he needed you, Ed." And with that they drove to Roy's destination.
.::About 45 Minutes Later::.
As they neared where they were supposed to go, all that could be heard were the sounds of gunshots and screams of people getting killed. "Damn," Edward muttered. Havoc stopped the car and Edward and Alphonse stepped out. They looked about and saw Roy fighting with another Ishbalan. Edward transmuted his automail arm into a sword and pierced the Ishbalan's stomach, who fell to the ground in pain and agony. Hey, wait. Ed thought. Usually, I wouldn't have done anything before... He deserves it... He attacked more Ishbalans. They seemed to be coming from nowhere.
Roy stood up and stood next to Edward. They stood back to back. Roy snapped his fingers and used alchemy to turn it into a huge fireball that burnt two Ishbalans that came toward them. Edward picked up a gun lying on the ground and shot some more Ishbalans in the arms and legs, not totally intent on killing them. Alphonse was somewhere else, helping some other State Alchemists with another large group of rebellers. The battle seemed to go on for forever. Edward and Roy sat down, still back to back, when it was finally over.
