She tosses and turns, feeling the empty side of the bed, unable to sleep without him. She opens her eyes, staring into the dark room.
"Fang," she murmurs, imagining him by her side. "Only two more days."

"Okay, gang. We're going to stay here after Fang returns from his family's house. So, we aren't going to move again," she says, staring off into space. Everyone cheers loudly. Angel places a hand on her arm.
"He'll be home soon, Max," she tells her reassuringly.
She smiles at the little girl who wasn't so little anymore. "Thanks, sweetie," she says, ruffling her hair.

The door opens slowly, showing a giddy Max peeking out. She grins widely as she throws the door open, throwing her arms around him, hugging him hard.
"I've missed you so much," she mutters into his clothes.
"Me too," he replies. "I won't ever leave again." She looks up at him, and kisses him lightly.
