Time and Time Again Chapter 1: The Time Gate
1 year after the perfect ending of the game as well as Crono and Marle's wedding.
"CRONO!!! WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD!!" shouted Marle from the bottom of the stairs.
"YEE YAA!!" exclaimed the baby twins, Aiden and Ryanne.
"Mmmmmmh," grumbled Crono sleepily.
"CRONO!!!!" screamed Marle loud enough to wake up the whole palace.
"I'M UP!!" shouted Crono loudly but groggily
"It's about time Mr. Sleepy." Marle told him as he walked down the stairs, "Your breakfast is getting cold. Bring the kids down and keep an eye on them. I have to go wake my father."
"O...............K," Crono replied yawning.
Crono walked over to Marle and gave her a kiss on each cheek.
"Your cheeks are still as soft as the day we ran into each other, the day I met you, the day my life was changed.... all because of this silly heirloom pendant of yours," Crono told her while holding the diamond necklace hanging around, well, her neck.
"Yeah, let's just hope those kids of ours don't find out about the time gates. Especially when Ryanne gets the pendant the day she turns 10," Marle told Crono.
"Cooooo gooooo," said Ryanne.
"Yeeeeeeeeeee," said Aiden.
"I'm gonna go wake Father," Marle said.
"Kay Hun," Crono replied as Marle walked away.
Crono walked up the stairs as he put on the baby carrier. Then all of a sudden...
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!" screamed Marle.
Crono grabbed the babies and put them in the carrier. He ran over to a cabinet, unlocked, flung the doors open and pulled out the Rainbow, a katana, it was also Crono's strongest weapon. He then snatched the Valkerye, a bow, Marle's strongest weapon, and the quiver full of arrows. He tied the sheath and Rainbow around his waist and slung the Valkerye and quiver over his shoulder. He ran toward the king's room and saw Marle sitting on the bed in tears.
"What happened," asked Crono.
"He disappeared right in front of my eyes!" she exclaimed through her tears.
"How?" asked Crono.
"The time gates have been re-opened," she told him with a look of horror on her face
"Coo," said the twins.
