Warning: Not Beta-edited and a lil cursing

Please enjoy, and Belated Merry Christmas and Happy Late New Year!

Arthur sighed, his breath misted due to the cold weather. He took a step forward away a waiting shed he suggested to be a meeting place. He embedded his gloved hands in his pockets as his head fell backward to watch the snow fall. He liked the snow; it was one of the things he looked forward to every year. His eyes which were brighter than emeralds grew a little wide as they met mistletoe pinned on the edge of the waiting shed. The evergreen shrub hung loosely exactly above his blond locks.

His right eye twitched, Bloody Hell, he cursed internally, How the heck did that get there?

Arthur Kirkland loves Christmas, he loves the snow, the banquets served, the carolers at night, the twinkling lights on the tree, giving and receiving gifts, the socks by the fireplace, the eggnogs, everything really but one thing, mistletoe. He didn't dislike its appearance but the obligation you have to do when you've been caught under it with someone.

Maybe if it was…he shook his head like it would toss the idea way. He liked the idea though; he just didn't think it was proper considering…a lot of things. He sighed again, pulling his head down to stare at his snow boots. He started to wonder why he should consider "a lot of things", why exactly. Did "a lot of things" mean demands or sensitive thoughts?

"Arthur-san?"

He felt a tug on his sleeve. His head snapped to his side, blinking in surprise. "Kiku,"

Arthur saw the shorter man smile, his cheeks rosy red from the season. "Have you been waiting long?" His petite hands loosen his red scarf, revealing his chin so he could speak better. The purple overcoat he wore looked to warm his small frame.

"No, " he cleared his throat, trying to suppress a grin of delight, "Just arrived, really."

Kiku kept smiling, "The snow is a bit light today isn't it?"

Arthur was supposed to say something funny the weather before he saw the Asian looking at something above them. He felt himself freeze but not because of the weather. Crap.

"Arthur-san, isn't that…"

He felt a blush creep to his cheeks, why didn't he move when he saw that? "Yeah," he laughed nervously, "hey, I think we should get going." If it wasn't freezing outside he would have been sweating mad.

"But aren't we suppose to…"

He gulped. He was silent for a moment, deliberating. "Do you…mind?"

Kiku's brown eyes fell to ground, his cheeks turning a dark shade of red. "I don't if you don't."

Arthur blinked, really? He didn't ask that though, instead he smiled and took the Asian's chin. They stared at each other's eyes for a moment, caught off guard by each other's loving gaze. Arthur leaned in and brushed his lips with Kiku's. Arthur's heart fluttered. The raven haired man's lips were soft and warm; it warmed Arthur's pounding heart. Their eyes closed, knowing sight was not needed for the moment. They stayed like that for a while before Arthur pulled back, a smirk and a nervous grin playing on his lips.

Kiku opened his eyes, a curved tugged on his heated lips. "Let us go, it will get darker soon."

Arthur nodded a blissful smile on his face. Mistletoe isn't so bad, I guess.

END.
