Disclaimer: I don't own Left 4 Dead

I hope you all had a wonderful, and filling Thanksgiving. Got this idea after watching some videos on how to make Oreo Cheesecake and such. lol

THIS IS MY 100TH STORY, WOOHOO!

Enjoy

Nick stood in the living room with Kaitlin sitting on his shoulders, stretching her arm as she held the silver star tightly. Rochelle watched her bite her lip in concentration as she finally managed to place the star on top of the tree with a relived smile.

"There!"

"Good job Runt, now get off me." Nick said with a smirk as Kaitlin got down with her mom's help, immediately running back to the table where she had a small glass of milk with a few cookies to munch on while her parents continued decorating.

Christmas was always her favorite holiday, she'd see her whole family get together a lot more than they normally did and was happy to see how much happier her dad seemed to be around Christmas time.

He was less harsh to people and seemed to open up a little more about how he was feeling instead of bottling them up like he always seemed to do. Rochelle was also very happy at Christmas, her spirits lifted higher than usual as she shined her warm love to her father who accepted it without hesitation.

Staring down at her medium sized plate, she suddenly felt the urge to look closer at her Oreos; the black cookie with white filling seemed to stand out to her as she examined it.

Thinking quietly to herself while her father hammered a nail into the wall, only to yelled out as Rochelle accidentally bumped into him.

"Agh, dang it!" Nick said, making sure to keep the swear words inside his head as she sucked on his index finger for a minute until the throbbing seemed to lessen.

"I'm sorry!" Rochelle exclaimed while she made Nick let her see, to which he couldn't help but give a sincere smile with a quiet laugh. "I'm fine, Ro."

"Alright, well, sorry that I bumped into you."

"It's fine," he said calmly, gently cupping her face in his hand to stroke her cheek before finishing what he was doing; hanging up the small wreath that Kaitlin had made them at school just as the small girl jumped out of her seat in excitement.

"Mommy, daddy!"

"What?" Rochelle and Nick asked simultaneously as Kaitlin stopped in front of them and held up the small half eaten cookie "I'm an Oreo!"

Both parents stood in silence, processing what their six year old had just said to them before chuckling quietly to themselves.

"You're an Oreo huh, well, you don't look at delicious to me runt." Nick replied with his usual smirk, holding back another laugh as Kaitlin stomped her foot in frustration.

"No, no daddy, I'm like the Oreo cause you and mommy are both colors."

"What do you mean, baby?" Rochelle asked, knowing full well what her daughter was getting at as the small girl stumbled over her own words.

"You're like the black part mommy, and daddy's like the middle... So I'm an Oreo cause you guys are together. Like this." She explained in her six year odl knowledge, holding up the Oreo half that Rochelle took with a smile.

"I guess you're right. Where'd you get so smart?"

"I don't know..."

Nick knelt down with Rochelle so they were eye to eye with their daughter, "you know what runt? You couldn't be more right."

"I couldn't?"

"Nope."

I hope you all liked it, I'm sorry it's so short. It's just something I wrote while my mom was decorating for Christmas.
