With Oga finally graduating from high school, Aoi Kunieda decided that she had spent enough time training her heart, and waiting for that big idiot Oga to realize her feelings, and resolved herself to clear things up between them once and for all... even if she was to be rejected, that was better than spending who knows how many more years pining away for someone who didn't even realize she liked him!
So, this Valentine's Day, she had simply walked right up to him, handed him a box of homemade chocolate, and bluntly informed him that it was Honmei chocolate.
"... ara? Imported chocolate from Hong Kong? You're so generous Kunieda!"
At which point, she punched him in the gut, before stomping off.

"I'm telling you, you somehow happened to fall for the densest jock in the universe, Aoi! You should just let us all hit him in the head until his brains start working!" Nene consoled her friend.
"Well, I knew he was dense, but he can't be THAT dense? Or so I thought anyhow? ... but I think I shouldn't be telling my friends to beat up the guy I like?"
"Then what are you going to do?"
"... I can't believe he actually thought those were Hong Kong chocolates. ... well whatever. I'll just go clarify that I meant Honmei choco... I guess?" Aoi shrugged helplessly.
A polite cough issued behind them.
It was Oga!
"Erm... sorry for overhearing that... it was totally by accident. I just happened to be passing by. ... Aoi, I'm sorry, you were right, I'm not really that dense. I knew those were Honmei choco"
"... ha... hahaha? Well, that's good? That means we won't have to hit you in the head until you wise up?" Aoi muttered incoherently. Well... yeah! At least the guy she liked wasn't a TOTAL space cadet?
"Guess so... guess so... anyhow... Kunieda... sorry for leading you on a wild goose chase for so long. I realised recently that you liked me, but I kept playing dumb on purpose... You see, the truth is, I also have someone I like."
"Oh... OH. Well... I... I wish it was me, Oga. But I still wish you happiness. You and Hilda make a good couple..."
"... Hilda?" Oga choked out.

I've liked her for a long long time, and it was so confusing for me, since you like me and you're so similiar to her..."
