Chapter 1: Stricking The Match

"I cannot stand taking this forest," Prince Charming remarked coldy as the bitter wealther around him.

"Relax, Your Highness," Snow answered, giving a sarcastic tone to 'Your Highness', "We'll be there just as soon as we get out of this forest, and be thankful we have someone who knows this forest by heart!"

"Once we get out, the better," Prince Charming snapped a little as well as a bit of his lip since it was deeply chappted.

"Look on the bright side, Charming," Snow White said, "This girl uses thisforest to produce matches, which means we will not perish by means of freezing!"

"I'm more concerned about getting out alive in general," Charming remarked.

Rolling her eyes, Snow White turned her attention to the quiet girl in front of them. Snow re-thought something over and increased her pace so she would be in exact alignment with the girl's right side.

"Thank you for helping us," Snow said with a smile.

"Worry not about thanking me until we reach our destination," the girl answered.

Silence.

"So..." Snow began, clearing her throat, "What's your name?"

"Ember," the girl replied.

"Is that it?" Snow questioned in return.

"My full name is Emberlynn," the younger lady replied, wrapping more of her small hood around her tightly, "But everyone who talks to me calls me Ember."

"That's a very pretty name," Snow White complemented, still forming the best smile she could since her lips were chapped by the cold.

"My name was forged by two adults whom was connected to the fire, by the fire," Ember answered, pulling out a small vile of yellow thick oil and handing it to Snow, "One used fire to cook, another made the fire."

Snow accepted the vile and opened it. Upon opening it, her eyes closed tightly, wishing she could do the same thing with her nose due to the unpleasent aroma that emerged from the bottle. Coughing twice, she opened one eye to gaze upon the one that gave her the smelly liquid.

"What is this stuff?" Snow White asked.

"Lip relief," Ember answered, "Get Charming to use it too."

Charming, already a spectator of Snow White's unsure expression, wanted Snow White to try the stuff first. Not one to refuse offers, she carefully took some of the liquid into her finger and put it on her lips, still disgusted by it's smell.

Prince Charming, however, wasn't certain at all to use it unless he knew what was the identity of the content in the bottle. Sighing softly, Ember only muttered the following words:

"Don't like, don't take."
