Author's Note:

Set somewhere in the middle of Book 10, basically before they set out to kill the Terror. Didn't put it in my collection because it has some spoilers. And I mean some. If you look really hard. It's more or less safe plotline-ish. Kind random.

I don't own RA.

Similarities

Princess Cassandra and Alyss Mainwaring were two girls who were similar in too many ways.

Physically, neglecting Alyss' superior height; they were both blonde, their hair cut shoulder length, the same glittering determination in their eyes, and each named as beautiful women.

Each shared the inner courage that made them stand out in a world of men.

They were fierce and adamant about their decisions. Both incredibly intelligent and quick-minded, they usually approached a situation with a calm head and open mind.

The most prominent quality they shared was their stubborn nature.

Both were too proud to admit that they secretly admired the other.

While Cassie could admire Alyss' cool, diplomatic personality, Alyss would envy Cassie's vibrant charisma and optimism.

They shared the same flaws, too.

Each were easily overcome by silly emotions, such as jealousy, that would inevitably halt what could be a wonderful friendship.

If only they could see the common traits between them instead of the fierce differences.

Then they would be a pair to fear.
