A Baby and a Mirror
Jackie gently sat Hundley down on the master bedroom floor in front of the mirror so Jackie could keep an eye on her while she quickly put on her makeup.
The baby suddenly let out a loud squeal.
Jackie laughed as the baby grinned at herself in the mirror.
"Who is that Hundley?" Jackie asked her.
The baby squealed again as she gently started tapping the mirror as if to say hi to the other baby.
"Nick, get the video camera." Jackie called out into the hallway.
Nick brought up the video camera and gave Jackie a quizzical look. Jackie nodded at the baby who was smiling at herself in the mirror. Hundley again tapped on the mirror and then burst into a fit of uncontrollable giggles.
Nick chuckled as he started video taping her.
Jackie let Nick record the happy baby for several minutes and then she looked at her watch.
"We better go." She told Nick.
Nick nodded and shut off the camera.
Jackie picked Hundley up but as soon as she did Hundley started to cry.
Jackie laughed.
"Baby girl, we have to go, we get to go play with Victoria and her little kids at the park." She told her as she kissed her head in a peace offering.
Victoria was one of Jackie's coworkers and since Victoria's kids loved the park as much as Nick and Jackie's kids did the two woman thought it would be fun to set up play dates at the park over the summer.
"Say bye-bye to the baby." Jackie told Hundley as she turned towards the mirror with Hundley in her arms.
Hundley immediately grinned.
"Say bye-bye." Jackie said again as she gently took one of Hundley's arms and started waving it at the mirror.
Hundley giggled like crazy.
Nick and Jackie looked at each other and laughed.
It was neat seeing Hundley develop such a fun personality and it was also downright adorable!
