'Public Display of Affection'

Two years. She had spent two years without him and it had felt like she was trapped in a nightmare. But now, she couldn't keep her hands off him. She didn't want to. It was the only way to reassure herself that he was there and whole, that the nightmare had come to an end, leaving her with her happy ending that she had thought she would never get.

Rikku and Paine complained about her spending all of her time with Tidus but Yuna shot back that she spent two years without Tidus. That she joined the Gullwings in a bid to find out if it had been Tidus in the sphere. Rikku and Paine had back down when she lost her temper with them. Yuna had always been considered as quiet, mostly because of how she was brought up but Tidus had brought out a side to her no-one else knew about. They saw it briefly during her stint as a Gullwings but only Tidus saw the extent of it.

Yuna lifted her head when she heard familiar laugher and smiled when she saw Tidus coming out of the water, droplets running down his toned tanned chest. He caught sight of Yuna and gave her a short wave, which she returned, before he turned back to face whoever it was in the water. Yuna fell backward on the sand, her eyes looking up toward the sky as the clouds passed over with birds flying.

Soon a shadow appeared over her body and she blinked at the sudden darkness before she saw Tidus and smiled.

"Hey," she greeted. Tidus dropped down to his knees, hovering over her.

"Hey," he greeted back, smiling. She lifted a hand up to caress his cheek. He bent down, kissing her softly, her hand sliding into his hair only for a ball to hit the side of Tidus' head, startling them out of their moment. They looked over to see Wakka whistling innocently before they saw the ball on the sand near Tidus before glaring at Wakka. Tidus stood up, pulling Yuna up as he did before kicking the ball up into the air so he could grab it. With a quick twist, the ball went flying through the air and hit Wakka in the stomach, winding him for a brief moment.

"Knock it off!" Tidus barked at Wakka before he turned to face Yuna, who giggled at Wakka's stunned look and the amusement on their team-members face before looking at Tidus.

"Hm, let's go home," Tidus whispered against her lips and she smiled. She wasn't the only one who felt that way.

"Yeah, lets."
