"Baby's first Christmas"

On your first Christmas,

Oh! Were we prepared!

I remembered the warm fire flames

Matched your mother's red hair

You were tightly draped in orange

To protect you from the cold

Lucky to find a small Santa hat

Baby size, no one sold

Only three of us in the house

We wanted to be with only you

Without you in our arms

Oh, what else would we do?

The faint carolers' songs

Filled our home, so small

We promised to let you listen

When we heard their signal or call

Oh, to be with you on this day,

When Christ entered the world

Gave us the thought of you growing up

And spending Christmas away

It would surely break our hearts

With you, we wouldn't want to part

But a child's growth

Is a parent's own reward

Your mother's head fits my neck

And you in her arms

With a tight hug around you two

It's when only I feel true warmth

All the money, exchange for you

Without a doubt, no deal!

Oh, the sensation I feel

When I'm with you, baby

Oh, baby's first Christmas

Will this be our last?

Why can't you see?

You grow up so fast

Maybe we wouldn't even make it

When you turn three

Maybe real lights will never hang

On our own Christmas tree

I need you and you need me

It's no fun when you're alone

I see you sit and cry

At a dark corner at home

Why can't I be the ideal father?

Why can't things be right?

In this world where we are

For our lives, we have to fight

Oh why can't we be free?

It's all perfect

When it's just you and me

My family…..I miss you

Oh, baby's first Christmas

I guess, we never had the chance

Oh how can I be happy?

With a family, you never had a glance

Today, tonight, tomorrow

For whatever the future brings

Through happiness or sorrow

I will always be with you…..

Though you cannot hear me

I hope you can see

How much your mother and I love you

You, we will never abandon

Oh baby's first Christmas

Though we are far apart

Always remember…..

You're always in our hearts

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
