A/N: Funny where the inspiration for this one came from actually. I was thinking about how I don't really find red haired guys attractive, and yet I find James and Oliver Phelps (who play Fred and George) to be good looking (yes, I know they're not natural red heads).

Thus, I wondered what if Hermione actually didn't like red heads all that much?

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter.

Red Heads

Hermione had never found red haired boys especially attractive.

There was just something about the way it looked, on anybody in any light. It didn't look good with the black of Hogwarts robes (in her mind), and it looked terrible on the red heads who played Quidditch in the scarlet robes of the Gryffindor team.

So naturally she hadn't found Ron especially attractive. That is until the teenage hormones kicked in their third year. Even then it wasn't so much his looks that made him stand out to her as much as it was just him overall.

Oh, she spent most of their third year being angry with him, and she was absolutely furious with him after the events of the Yule ball in their fourth year, but something was still drawing her towards him.

It was in their fifth year that Hermione found herself finding Ron's appearance pleasing, all except that flaming red hair, but she would never suggest he dye it, as it was a part of what made him Ron.

Sixth year Hermione decided Ron looked rather handsome in his Quidditch robes, even with his red hair.

And in what would have been their seventh year she accepted that she thought he was the most handsome boy in the world.

Even ten years later, Hermione still didn't like red headed men. But she loved Ron.

The End
