Prompt: Black Heron wants more than just revenge on Beakley.

Beaten and Broken

Beakley came back to consciousness surrounded by metal bars, with a cold metal floor beneath her.

She looked around. A steel cage. Just perfect.

Looking down, she spotted her old rival, Black Heron, who seemed to have anticipated her awakening down to the millisecond.

"I suppose you want me to tell you the secret bounce juice formula?" she questioned her captor sarcastically.

"Don't insult my intelligence, Bentina," Heron replied as she span around on her heels, glaring up at the retired spy, "Under most circumstances, you'd never tell me that formula on any other day of the week."

"Then what makes you think I'll spill the beans today?" Beakley retorted, crossing her arms.

"Whoever will come to your rescue obviously values your life very much, and vice versa," stated Black Heron, a sneer across her face.

"If you're talking about Scrooge McDuck, he and I would rather die before we help you succeed in your nefarious plans."

"Oh, I wasn't talking about Scrooge McDuck," Heron spat back, her smirk growing wider, "More to the point I was referring to your precious little Webbigail."

"She'd never help you. You'd never even get your hands on her!"

"Oh I don't have to look for her. Put simply, the base is my trap, and you are the bait – she'll walk right in," Heron said wickedly, "After all, I hear that 'family' is your main work these days."

"Lay a feather on her and I swear–" Beakley began, but was interrupted.

"So quick to jump to assumptions, old friend," the evil spy chortled, "If she comes along to rescue her beloved granny, we both know you'd do anything to protect her – you'd save her like you couldn't save Margaret and Rick."

"Stop it. You shut your beak right now if you know what's good for you," growled Beakley.

"It was a terrible thing, their demises, but it barely seemed to faze you," Black Heron continued, "But I knew as I watched the life fade from your daughter's eyes, that I had hurt you."

Beakley hid a despairing moan behind another growl. Her eyes squinted in animalistic fury.

"And I wish to go on hurting you, Bentina. You killed my daughter to avenge yours, but unlike you, my existence isn't defined by my family. I have the upper wing this time."

A buzzer alert sounded, and live footage from a security camera caught Scrooge McDuck and Webbigail Vanderquack entering the lair at ground floor. Beakley's eyes widened.

"What did I say? They came like fishes to a net, all thanks to you," grinned Black Heron maliciously as she made her way to the elevator.

Beakley snapped out of her dumbstruck horror.

"Heron…" she tried to plead, though it fell on the deaf ears of evil.

"Now with your granddaughter in my clutches, there will be nothing you can do to stop me!" Heron laughed wickedly as the elevator door closed.

"HERON!"

Next scene is where Scrooge and Webby wake up at Beakley's urging.

This was mainly written because Webby's parents weren't mentioned AT ALL during the episode, despite it focusing on Beakley's history…

However, I still have faith that the writers are just holding back Webby's parents for a later episode.
