If the SAO characters never existed
Pilot
My sword slashes down as I feel some blood splatter on my face. I land delicately on my feet, wiping the blood off. The boar disintegrates and some meat is added to my inventory. "Nice work Aiko!" Sako exclaimed as he he walks over. "Yeah well I guess." I mutter. Ever since the whole Aincrad-is-a-killer machine thing I haven't been very positive. I mean who can blame me? Sighing I head back to the nearest no kill zone to sell the meat. Level 46, that is the recent level that opened up. "Dammit! Sako remind me why I'm not on the front lines right now again?" I say grumpily. The red haired boy shakes his head. "Aiko you know why you can't. Ever since endangering the guild with your reckless choices you have been kicked out of every single group. No one wants a jumping-head-first-into-a-battle show off." He says. "I'm not a show off!" I snort and walk into the sunset town.
Entering a small shop I suddenly remember that we don't have a place to bunker down for the night. "Sako! Did you book a room?" I whisper as I give the shop keeper the meat. "Er..Um I forgot." He replies guiltily. I shake my head. The young man behind the counter must of overheard because he offered to let us stay upstairs in the spare bedroom in return for the meat. Sako and I nod our heads eagerly, my auburn colored hair waving slightly at the movement. He smiles and leads us upstairs. As I walk in, I scowl silently at the SINGLE bed shown in-front of me. Sako must have seen it too by the look o his face. "A room for a lovely couple." The shop keeper said. "LOVERS?!" I exclaim. "Sir we are twin siblings." I say. The young man nods, embarrassed by the looks of it. He then hurries away to find a blanket to use for the floor. Deciding I wasn't going to wait for him to come back, I crawl in bed. In moments I nod off, dreams of home coming to my senses.
