Chapter Uno: A weird Beginning
Cleo:
I sat there on the porch waiting for Lewis. He was supposed to be here a half an hour ago. I sighed. "He is always late." I said. Just then, there was a knock on the wood like a door. I pretended to open a door. "Finally!" I said. "What took you so long?" I asked. "I had to go to the mall to get something." He said. "Let me guess, it had something to do with science, or something." I asked. "You know me so well. Lewis replied. We were going to Emma's place so Lewis could do some weird science thing to us. We got to Emma's house, and Rikki and Emma were already there. When I showed up with Lewis, Rikki didn't look too happy. "You didn't tell us he was coming." Rikki said, putting a lot of emphisis on the word he. "Well, I know you wouldn't have come if I told you." I reasoned. "Yeah, that's why you should've told us." Rikki shot back. "Why are you here, anyway?" Emma questioned. Well, I'm here to do some hair samples. Riiki groaned loudly. "We are not your test monkeys, Lewis!" She yelled. "Its just a few samples, then I am finished, and your free to go." Lewis explained. "Fine, but no blood." Rikki said, crossing her arms. "Okay, okay." Lewis said. He got the job done, and left after a half hour. We decided to go for a swim.
Emma:
Cleo, Rikki, and I walked to the beach. It was a clear, sunny day, so there were many people at the beach. We went to the corner, where we were not going to be seen. We jumped in the water, and sure enough, we turned into mermaids after ten seconds. We swam around just for fun, then we went to Mako island. We got onto the island, and dried ourselves off by Rikki using her powers. We decided to walk to the cave instead of swim there. We walked to the cave, and it was a full moon. "How long have we been here?" I wondered. You could see the full moon, but we don't look at it. We looked in the water instead, and there was somebody else there. A girl. She had legs, not a tail.
Rikki:
"Who the heck are you?" I yelled. "Chill." The girl said. "I'm Brook." She said. "How did you get here?" I said. "Boat." She said to me. I was about to warn her to get out, that something was going to happen, but it was too late. The water started to bubble, and float above her. The girl looked scared, but she stayed in the pool. "Oh God, Not someone else." I was thinking. By the time all the bubbles were gone, she was so confused. "What was that?" She asked. "Um, I don't know." Cleo lied. She was about to leave, but I caught her before she did. "Listen." I said. "Meet us here at eleven tomorrow." I said. "Don't touch water at all before then." "OK." She said. "Oh, and one more thing. Don't tell anyone about what happend. "OK..." She said Obviously confused. Then we left.
Brook:
I was so confused today. I just moved here, and something crazy already happend. Wow. I guess tomorrow will be crazy too. I got home, and was bored out of my mind. I thought about taking a shower, but pushed the thought out of my mind. "Don't touch water at all before then. " The girl's voice came into her mind. "Well… maybe just a quick shower won't hurt…" I thought, but remembered again. I walked downstairs, just for something to do. "Hey mom, is it okay if I go to that island tomorrow?" I asked my mom, who was watching "When I was 17," probably reminiscing on the past when she was 17. "Yeah, if it's safe." My mother said. "Yeah, I'm meeting some people." I said. I couldn't really call them my friends, because they weren't very friendly with me. I trudged to bed then, still curious about the day's events.
