Title: Don't Panic
Drabble: #14
TK's prompt: Juice
Randomly selected pairing: Iora
Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon.
Notes: I feel like I'm wasting a lovely day, what with everyone else being in the garden and me sitting here doing bugger all but write about pairings I don't like.

Iori's grandfather had taught him many great things, and delivered words of wisdom that Iori was sure would stay with him forever. The reason he was so brutally honest about everything was because his grandfather had told him that lying was the worst thing that someone could do.

And he was glad that he'd taken his grandfather's word for it when he'd told him that liquid yoghurt was a wonderful breakthrough; he hardly drank anything else afterwards. He'd tested out all the different brands and flavours, and had distinguished a few favourites which he bought more often than the rest. He swore by the stuff.

He felt it was completely justifiable to complain when he came home from a hard day at university and found that his liquid yoghurt was gone.

Even worse, it had been replaced with juice. Plain, regular orange juice. Perhaps it would have been tolerable if it was smooth orange juice, but when Iori took a mouthful he grimaced at the texture and tipped the rest down the sink. He hated orange juice with bits in it.

When Sora came home later he confronted her about it; she'd been at home for most of the day so it couldn't have been anybody else. She simply raised an eyebrow, wondering why he was making such a fuss, and said that she threw his drinking yoghurt away because it was out of date.

Out of date? But it hadn't been out of date that morning!

Actually, Sora corrected, it was. And he would have gotten sick if he'd had any more of them.

Iori began to despair, allowing his expression to become panicked. So now what? She'd thrown his drinking yoghurt away after saying that it was expired when it actually wasn't, and replaced it with pulpy orange juice. He'd end up dying of thirst if something wasn't done.

She then held up her shopping bag, which he hadn't previously noticed, for his inspection, and when he looked inside he was happy to discover brand new drinking yoghurt.

And Sora promptly took it away again, wanting to get it into the fridge before it too went bad.
