He had been here for little over an hour. Observing the brilliant spectacle that was Hyrules ocean. The waves lapped and collapsed along the shore line. It was beautiful! The waters spray flew into his eyes, burning them a bit. But he ignored the slight pain, in favor of the beautiful view. His mission was complete, Hyrule was safe from Demise's latest monster.
It was time for his spirit to return to the Sacred Realm, though his body needed to stay here on the earthly plain. The princess knew not of his latest mission, having exhausted the power of the Triforce Of Wisdom.
Salty tears escaped the hero's cerulean eyes. He couldn't even say goodbye to his loved ones, the Goddess made sure of that.
Link turned his head, left and right, making sure there was no one to save him from his ultimate demise. Just as he was told, no one was there. He then began to strip the champions shirt falling to the sand, along with his trousers. He took the hero's garb from his adventure pouch then slowly put it on. After placing the green pointed hat on his head Link took in a deep breath, preparing himself for the sheer pain he had felt time and time again.
He turned his head, so that it was facing skyward. "I am ready your grace." He said, loud and clear. "Take me now."
Heavenly light rained down from the sky, a large beam surrounding him. He closed his eyes, awaiting the pain. It felt like his insides were on fire, the hero collapsed to the ground. He began to cough violently, each cough making him shudder. A little trail of blood came from his mouth. His skin felt cold like ice, just like the skin of a deadman.
He was freezing yet, burning all the same. More tears escaped those cerulean orbs, each of them symbolizing the things close to him. The first tear symbolized his spirits childish innocence, the second for his hearts first love, the next was for all that he lost. And the last was for all the times that were to come, for all the times he'd be forced to come back and go through the pain all over again.
After what felt like hours of excruciating pain, it was done. He was at peace, he was free… well at least for now…
"Well done hero." Said a woman's voice. He turned around, and saw someone very familiar. "Surely your soul remembers me, it is I, Hylia." The woman in question was quite beautiful. Hair the color of sunshine, blue eyes as deep as the sea, tanned skin. She wore a white silk dress, and a lace veil, she was the definition of lovely.
"Your grace." His mouth began moving, speaking before his brain could interpret the words. "I have done my duty, now may I rest?" His eyes widened, how rude of him to ask such a thing! "My apologies, I wasn't thinking!"
The goddess laughed joyously, as if he didn't just address her like a friend. "Oh hero, I am the all knowing goddess." "Nothing you say will take me by surprise!" Hylia explained. Then she reached her hand toward him, waiting for him to grab it.
Link took the offered hand then his vision faded away, along with his consciousness…
