Steve could see all of New York from the roof of Stark Tower. That particular night, there was not a single cloud in the sky. What few stars that could be seen twinkled in a dance across the black expanse, capturing the attention of the Super soldier out of time.

However, Tony was too busy jabbering about the "big plans" he had for the Avengers. He mentioned private rooms, a training center equipped with the best technology of their time, something about special identification cards…

"Hey Tony?" asked Steve, breaking the steady stream of monotone words coming from the man's lips.

"Yeah?"

Steve leaned back to lay flat on the blue fleece blanket they used in order to brace themselves from the chilling pavement. He stretched his arms back to rest his head on his hands, "let's just enjoy this moment, ok?"

"You just want me to shut up," Tony smirked, glancing to his side.

"Yeah."

"Gee, thanks, you know just a few minutes ago you were telling me I have the voice of an angel or something and you could listen to me ramble for hours on end. I mean c'mon you're kind of sending mixed—"

Steve sat up to lock their lips together in a deep kiss, holding it for the few seconds he could until Tony managed to break away.

Tony grinned, "Oh you're good."

Steve smiled in return, returning to his previous position on the blanket. "Just lie down for a few minutes; take some deep breaths and enjoy the stars with me."

He let out a sigh, "you know I can't say no to you." Tony adjusted himself to lie at a diagonal; resting his head on Steve's chest as Steve wrapped his arm around the other's shoulders. Despite being in the middle of New York City, everything was silent. Not even the dancing stars uttered a single breath.
