Prologue
Bella had been happy with Edward. And why shouldn't she have been? He was handsome, loving, and extremely protecting. What girl wouldn't love that? But sometimes, they got into really bad arguments. It was during one of these arguments that Bella made the biggest mistake of her life.
"Oh Jacob, sometimes I just can't stand Edward!" Bella had said.
"I understand you Bella, and I'm so glad that you came to me in your hour of need." Jacob had replied.
"I know," Bella said softly.
They hadn't needed to say anything more after that. Everything there was to say, they both knew. So that night, they had made love. It was only once, but it was a terrible mistake on Bella's part. Of course, the next day Edward apologized for the argument, and they were back to being happy together. Bella never spoke of what she had done with Jacob, but that would all change when she woke up one morning and stated feeling nauseous…
