A wild, insane smile stretched Tenten's face, as she stood on the gate to the village, facing out toward the setting sun, the wind ruffling her bangs. Her arms were wide open, bare but covered in wires strung with kunai and hands almost invisible through the chaos of weapons ready to be released.
"Tenten. Return here this instant." Her teammate- no, no! EX-teammate demanded. He was always demanding- come here, do this, serve me. No more! No more!
She laughed crazily with the thought, and then spoke it aloud, just to feel the rush it brought. "No more! No more!"
"I do not care for meaningless chatter, Tenten, come down here. This can be discussed." Eyes wide with exhilaration rolled back to him, poor him, depending on a crutch and swathed in white bandages. Like a baby- so helpless.
But Tenten knew that he would grow with time, and soon he would be strong and ready to attack. A day, a week, a month till then. Babies don't stay babies. Including her! She would not stay helpless.
Her dilated pupils again turned to the glorious bloodbath of the sun sinking behind the hills. Yes, yes, that was where she would go! To the sun, and then she would kill it all over again for the next sunset!
"Tenten-san, please talk to us! You are making a very serious decision!" Lee, she knew, but did not look back this time. Not this time. Also a baby, now, wrapped in white healing cloth. Also would come after her in a week, probably less. Lee was kind and determined. He deserved the truth. She yelled again, seized with the passionate fury of her purpose, her One Purpose, not LoyaltyComradesVillageMoralsSacrafice. One- just one grand Purpose of Life.
"Going- I'm going to kill the sun! Ah- I have waited! Waited till the babies were wrapped, then-" she waved her arms, and metal flashed in the failing sunlight- "I'll fly, I said! Now, now I'll fly!"
"Ten-"
"TEN-!"
"FLY!" She screeched to the beautiful, dying sky, and she leaped off in a flurry of metal feathers. As the babies –not long, but for now- watched, for they couldn't DO anything, not now! she flew away on wings of steel and explosions and insanity.
A/N: I'm really beginning to love oneshots. After seeing so many AngstyKunoichiLeavesKonohaDramatically, I added some loss of sanity, and presto! Really really short crazy Tenten story! Tenten DOES rule, yes.
