Title: A Different Kind of Heart

Here it is; the Yu-Gi-Oh/W.i.t.c.h. crossover that I promised Pasta-chan13. Synopsis: Prince Phobos has discovered the Millennium Items and wishes to seize them for his own. So, the guardians and duelists must join together to defeat him and his forces.

For my fellow W.i.t.c.h. fans; consider this an alternate universe because I'll be combining elements from both the comics and the cartoon. Comic stuff will include Yan Lin being dead and Cedric eventually having a thing for Orube. Cartoon stuff will include Matt being Shagon and Cassidy having been brought back to life.

For my fellow Yu-Gi-Oh fans; I can't say when this takes place 'cause that would spoil someone I have planned down the road in the story. All I will say is that it takes place after Battle City. So there is a possibility of seeing the Egyptian God Cards.

Disclaimer: Don't own this. Don't own that. I am just borrowing two excellent properties for the purpose of this fanfiction.

Prologue:

Alone in a dark chamber, a man sat reading through seemingly countless tomes; determined to find a powerful enough source of magic to defeat his enemies… a group of magically-endowed teenage girls who thwarted him at every turn. Even when he outsmarted the sorceress Nerissa and took her power for his own only to eventually be stabbed in the back by his right-hand man, those girls still defeated him and condemned him to his imprisonment with his underlings.

Upon flipping the next page of the current manuscript, the deposed prince (for that's what he was. And even though he was the elder child, his sister had the throne due to an ancient edict dictating that the realm shall always be ruled by a queen) sat up and widened his eyes.

For the pages were of an ancient and fragile material. He believed the people of earth called it "papyrus." The pages bore script in ancient runes (actually Egyptian hieroglyphics but he didn't know that) and depicted seven golden artifacts.

Upon casting a spell of black magic that could, in theory, translate any language he had his answer. And his answer was…

… the Millennium Items.

There it is. The prologue to my new story. I hope Pasta-chan13 likes it. Well… not just her but anyone who reads it.
