If You Stay

Chapter 1: The Beginning

"Wasn't that wedding wonderful?" Sakura sighed as she glanced out the window. It was nearly midnight. The sky was a deep navy blue with a million twinkling stars penetrating the dark veil. "I can't believe that little Konoharmaru is now married, especially to Hanabi Hyuga. My oh my."

"Are you kidding me? That was the most boring thing I had to ever sit through!" the thirteen year old Uchiha shouted from the backseat of the car.

A chuckle escaped the driver's lips. "Don't worry, Nori, your wedding will come soon enough," Sasuke said from the driver's seat.

"DAD! Why are you talking about! I'm only thirteen. Thirteen year olds don't get married. Sheesh. And people say you were a genius." Nori criticized as he shook his head. His personality resembled his mother yet his features perfectly portrayed his father. He looked exactly like a mini Sasuke, but when you spoke to him, it became obvious he was Sakura's son.

"Why do you have to be so loud? Well, I guess, we both know who you got that from," Sasuke said while looking at Sakura. A flood of laughter filled the five-seated car.

"Speaking of weddings, Kouichi, you seemed to be enjoying yourself, especially with that Nara girl," Sasuke spoke to his oldest son, looking at him through the rear view mirror.

If it wasn't night time, the sixteen year old's tomatoe red face would have been incredibly obvious. But since it was dark, Kouichi tried to conceal his embarrassment as best as possible. "Dad, I only talked to her once the entire night."

"Yes, yet somehow that one conversation lasted the entire night," Sakura joked with a giggle. Thinking that her son could possibly marry her best friend's daughter made her laugh. It was funny how life worked out.

Knowing he would never win an argument with his parents, Kouichi, the most wanted boy in high school, kept his mouth shut. He had inherited his father's coolness, along with his onyx hair and his mother's jade eyes. He was most definitely model status and he was smart, definitely smart enough to know nothing good would come from replying to his mother's comment.

Before a long silence fell inside the vehicle, Sakura decided to continue the conversation about weddings. "Anyways, how did you like the wedding, Ami?" Sakura asked her youngest child.

"I liked it!" the four year old pink-haired girl laughed,"The cake was sooo yummy! The best ever!"

Sakura smiled. Inside, she was glowing with happiness. This was true bliss. Her life couldn't get better than this. She loved her family and her life was perfect.

But, she spoke too soon. Through the window, she could see two headlights haphazardly swerving in the darkness. This couldn't be good. Before she knew it, the lights were charging directly at their car.

"OH MY GOSH! SASUKE! BRAKE!" she screamed at the top of her lung as she instinctively grabbed her husband's forearm. Suddenly, the world went black.
