Jacob Black was through chasing Bella Swan and he meant it this time. He ran through the woods towards the Cullen's mansion and thought that again. He was through, no matter what. He phased as the lights came into view and pulled on the cut-off jogging pants he kept tied to his ankle while during his wolf phase. Bella came to the back door and smiled at him. He stared at her for a minute, in shock. 10 years…had really changed her.

"Hello Jacob." Her voice now held a musical, velvety tone to it and, though she appeared to be the same Bella, deep in his heart, he knew she wasn't. He crossed his arms across his bare chest and narrowed his eyes at her.

"Cut the sweet talk Bells. Why did you call me here?" Bella sighed, knowing that her attempts at friendship were useless. She beckoned him inside and he followed, covering his nose and mouth when the vampire smell hit him full force. 6 vampires stared at him and he looked at her. "Can they leave? I can hardly breathe in here."

"I suppose." She nodded at Alice and everyone else, letting them know she could take of herself. They all left and Jacob could now see a dark-haired girl lying on the sofa, unconscious.

"What?" He asked, looking from the girl to Bella and she called Edward back in. He stood beside her, wrapping a protective around her, and sighed.

"We found her in the worlds. She smelt us and tried attacking us. She doesn't smell like wolf so we figured you could take her with you back to La Push and find something out." Jacob walked over to the sofa and knelt beside it, dragging his lips across the girl's neck in a way that would remind some people of a lover's caress.

The girl's eyes fluttered open and she stared at him before returning the caress. His eyes closed at the sensation and then opened them to stare into her honey colored, swirling eyes.

"Wolf." He bowed his head and nodded. He inhaled over her again and smiled, staring down.

"Tiger." She nodded, bowing her own head, and Edward spoke up.

"A tigress?" She jumped at his voice and looked over Edward's shoulder, her teeth baring at him. She attempted to rise but Jacob held her down with his gaze, smiling at her slightly. This could held the same hatred for the vampires that his people did and for that, they would get along until he could find someone to really help her.

" Apparently leech. I'll take her with me. She can stay on the reservation with the rest of the pack." The girl stared into his eyes as he rose, her in his arms. He turned to look at Bella and Edward. "You did good by sending for me. But don't think it's a truce between you and the pack. We worked with you once for we had a common enemy…but that was it."

"Jacob…" Bella's vampiric eyes pleading with Jacob but he turned away from her. In a flash, he was out the back door and running with the tigress in his arms.

"Where are we going?" She asked him and he looked down at her with a slight smile.

"Away from them." She nodded and laid her head on his shoulder.

"Good." That was the last thing she said as he continued running to La Push.
