Lionblaze's POV
Lionblaze padded out of the camp entrance. His tail dragged on the ground. Cinderheart just rejected him. "Why did I ask her to be my mate? Am I so foolish?" he sighed. Icecloud slipped out from behind the trees. Lionblaze felt his fur turn hot in embarrassment. She had heard everything he said. "Hi" she said softly "I was wondering if you would like to hunt with me" she looked so nervous. Lionblaze felt himself nodding in agreement. They padded next to each other in silence. Icecloud turned to lionblaze and murmured "I love you". Lionblaze looked at her in shock. Sure she was beautiful but he had always overlooked her for he always was watching cinderheart. Then he realized that whenever he was around her he was happy. Lionblaze looked at her "I love you too".

Icecloud lay in the nursery with their three kits, Nightkit, Whitekit, and Lightkit. Icecloud looked at him with love in her eyes. They both purred in happiness. Everything was perfect. But Lionblaze didn't see Cinderheart standing at the mouth of the nursery with jealousy and rage in her eyes…
