A/N: Yes, "Plan 9 From Outer Space" usually makes the top 10 lists of bad movies, and for good reason. People usually wonder about how bad the unspoken plans 1-8 were that the aliens thought the ninth one was better. But it occurs to me the aliens probably came back later with another plan, so here is a short of another possible failure.
Plan 10 From Outer Space
"Plan 10 failed as well" Agape told Palea. "We'll have to tell Ruler that the Earth hasn't been stopped from making the Solobonite bomb yet. At least we didn't die in the attempt like Eros and Tanna."
"I know," said Palea "plan 9 really made our planet look bad. I mean, they even made a MOVIE about it. People laughed at us."
"There's no point in delaying it any longer; let's go debrief Ruler." So they did.
"I don't understand how the plan could have failed" said Ruler. "Our previous plans failed due their complexity. So I came up with something simple; to stop the Earth we take over the major political systems by winning national elections. Once we won the elections then it would be a simple matter to control the largest nations on earth."
"It was a good plan…" said Agape.
"…a great plan" added Palea.
"All we had to do was promise the people of earth anything they wanted. Jobs, healthcare, low crime, reality TV; whatever they wanted we would promise. How could we lose?" Ruler was befuddled.
"We failed to take into account the fact that politicians ALREADY promise the people everything. When we simply repeated the promises made by others we were dismissed as amateurs" explained Palea.
"Maybe if we took everything away instead of promising everything" suggested Ruler.
"They have that system too" answered Agape. "They call it 'taxes'."
Ruler sighed. "Well then we'll just have to come up with a plan 11 now…"
The End
