I've been meaning to write another story for this crossover pairing. A little celebration with Easter-ness... Yeppers.

P.S. - Steal this... steal this, and ...um...

Finn: STEAL THIS OR I'LL DO SOMETHING!

Jake: YEAH, YOU TELL THEM, FINN! :D

Disclaimer: I don't own either movie.

Easter Egg Troubles

Hiccup groaned in disappointment at every chance he got at decorating eggs. He had a hunch for sketching on paper, but painting with a brush? It wasn't as easy as it looked. Putting on a look of determination, he held a hand to cover his mouth and thought over. This egg was his last, and he certainly did not want to create any distress for Rapunzel. She hadn't stopped talking about painting every egg on Easter day. She chatted through breakfast and a morning walk through the kingdom. Now most of the eggs from in the kingdom were thrown away, eaten whole, or terribly painted thanks to the Viking from the Far North and his catlike dragon.

Toothless occupied his time by eating away a second breakfast that contained only egg shells and yolk. Of course this was followed by a monstrous stomachache, but the last egg that was in Hiccup's grasp looked so... so delicious! It was bigger than most eggs on the island. Instead of a pale white or tan color, this egg was the color of purple! Of all colors. They'd no idea where or who had found it.

"Probably just a rotten egg," muttered Hiccup. He looked over his shoulder and saw the Night Fury's green eyes staring right into the unborn... thing, whatever it was. The teenage Viking shook his head, clutching the egg to his chest. "Oh, no, no, no, bud. I need to throw this one out. We don't want you getting another stomachache, now do we?"

The dragon sat up on his hind legs, blinked, and looked down at its normal-sized stomach. He poked his tummy with a claw and it wobbled. Then he burped. Toothless covered his mouth with a paw, grinning without his teeth. Hiccup shook his head and walked toward a nearby wastebasket. He removed the opening and prepared to drop the egg. Once it was out of his reach, another hand caught it, just before it hit the bottom. Blinking in surprise, Hiccup stepped back, turned to his left, and saw Rapunzel cuddling the lilac egg to her cheek.

"Don't you worry, it was just an accident," she cooed the egg, "Hiccup means no harm. It was just an accident." She playfully wagged a finger at Hiccup. "Shame on you, Hiccup! Why, you decorated it already without me. All it needs is the finishing touches!"

Hiccup raised an eyebrow.

"Uh... Rapunzel, I didn't paint the egg. I found it as that color. Eggs aren't supposed to be purple. Except on Easter, but that one, the one you're holding, was not painted by me or anyone else."

"But we can paint on it, right?" asked Rapunzel brightly.

She grabbed a paintbrush that had been resting in a bucket that contained the color yellow, sat down, and started her work. Hiccup and Toothless joined her, the dragon watching curiously as the viking looked on. Rapunzel worked her brush like magic. At the top center of the egg, she painted a golden sun. Dabbing her utensil into a different paint bucket, she then preceded swirls which danced around the sun in oranges and sunset reds. Hiccup smirked. He moved closer and wrapped an arm around Rapunzel's shoulder. Then he leaned toward and kissed her cheek.

"You know, I take it back what I said earlier. That's not a rotten egg at all."

This Is The Ending Whoo-Hoo!

Fun fact: The egg was supposed to be a dragon egg... predictable, huh? lol. Spyro, did Ignitus accidently drop you into a Disney movie by mistake? :P Because that'd be pretty cool. :D
