Stars in the sky
Toshiro x Annabelle
Annabelle was laying out in the grass looking at the night sky. Staring at the stars that came out and sparkled.
"There you are." It was Karin and Toshiro.
"Man. I just wanted a little time on my own." Annabelle frowned.
"You sound like Rangiku." Toshiro said crossing his arms.
"What brings you here?" Karin asked.
"Star gazing." Annabelle said.
Karin and Toshiro looked up and saw the stars.
"You need a telescope for that." Karin said.
"No you don't. I never said I was studying them. I'm just watching from the far distance. It's called: Enjoyment." Annabelle said.
Toshiro sighed. "Why are you here?" He asked.
Annabelle ignored him.
"Annabelle." Toshiro called her name.
"Why don't you lay next to me and find out." She teased.
Toshiro wasn't that big on it.
"Toshi!" On second thought.. "Right here." He asked laying next to her.
"Good. Now, just look straight up at the sky. And take deep breaths." Annabelle said.
Karin called over Momo who followed Toshiro to find Annabelle at Ishigo's house.
"There you are. What are you doing?" Momo asked.
"Looking at the stars." Toshiro said.
"Gazing!" Annabelle corrected.
Momo giggled. "May I join?" She asked. Annabelle smiled and patted on the other side of her. Momo lay down there and did the exact same thing.
"You three all relaxed now?" Karin asked.
Annabelle smiled. "Care to join? Ichigo will be coming by soon." Annabelle said. "He promised."
That's what this was all about. Karin sighed. "Annabelle." Karin didn't want to have to tell her. But...
"He's training with Rukia." Toshiro said quickly. Annabelle would be heart broken if she found out Ichigo skipped to hang with Orihime, Uryu, and Chad.
"Oh! That's right? Okay. Guess I'm glad you all came and joined me." Annabelle said.
"I'm glad too. But..." Momo looked at Toshiro who shook his head.
"But what?" Annabelle asked.
"We are going to need snacks soon." Momo smiled.
"I can go grab some. I'll be back." Karin said.
"Wait! i'll help." Momo got up and raced after her.
Toshiro was left with Annabelle.
"He went to the movies? With Orihime, Uryu, and Chad right?" Annabelle asked.
Toshiro didn't answer.
"I knew it." Annabelle sat up. "Figures. He would rather spend time with all them at a movie then star gazing with me." Annabelle said.
Toshiro sat up with her. "You know it can't be helped. He does have other people then just you." He told her.
Annabelle nodded. "I know. But...We've done this every month. When there's a new moon we'd come out here and gaze at the stars. Finding the consolations in the sky." Annabelle said.
"Well, guess I can take his place this time." Toshiro said.
"You really don't have to. I can watch them by myself." Annabelle said.
"Annabelle. I may be your captain, but I am also your friend." Toshiro spoke. "Please. Don't think for a second that you can do something like this alone."
Annabelle didn't say a word. Toshiro knew Annabelle well enough.
"Thank you, Toshi." She whispered under her breath.
They stayed like that watching the stars in the sky, till Karin and Momo came back with the snacks. And they had a star night picnic.
