Regina stood looking out the window with a sinister smile on her face as she watched the billowing purple smoke, which crackled with magic, envelope the town of Storybrooke. 'Magic' she thought gleefully. Magic which she would find a way to use even though she had had no hand in bringing it. That had been all him. She had to hand it to him, he was very talented, but she would see to it that she found a way to take advantage of his talented work. Oh yes.
As she watched the smoke began to clear and suddenly she saw movement. It was him. Rumplestiltskin in all his glory striding down the middle of main street Storybrooke dressed in his familiar leathers with a fur trimmed cloak draped around his shoulders. She almost relished the sight of his golden skin as the sunlight bounced off of his face, and his hair, no longer straight, but the familiar curly mass falling to his shoulders and moving softly as he walked. He was staring straight ahead, ignoring the gawking stares of the residents of the shaken little town.
Suddenly Regina's smile faltered. There was someone walking just behind him, and as she recognized her Regina's blood froze. 'Oh my god!' her mind screamed, 'how had she escaped?' It was Belle. Rumplestiltskin's true love. Belle, who she had cruelly imprisoned for almost thirty years now, biding her time, and waiting for the right time to use her against him. Regina felt fear grip her as the implications of what she was seeing hit her like a tidal wave. He knew, he knew, he knew! In that moment she felt his eyes lock on her, and she saw the boiling rage that lay there. He was going to kill her. She took a stumbling step back, franticly trying to think of some way to flee from him, and then she felt the magic. The magic which she had been welcoming, grip her body, immobilizing her.
With a snap of his fingers she felt herself transported to stand only steps in front of him. He regarded her coldly, and she knew there would be no mercy for her, his anger so overwhelming that he shook. "Your majesty" he growled, as the stunned citizens of Storybrooke looked on at the confrontation. Regina could feel the hatred being directed at her from all corners, and she couldn't even scream, as he tightened his magical hold on her.
He turned to Belle. "Do you have anything that you would like to say to this witch before I pass judgment upon her my love?" he asked in a voice like honey. Belle regarded her with loathing in her beautiful blue eyes. The tables were turned, and Belle smirked at her before turning back to Rumplestiltskin and saying "no my love, I have nothing to say to her. I just want her to be gone."
"As you wish my dear" he said, and turned back to face Regina. "For your crime of lying to me and imprisoning Belle, who had never done you any harm, I sentence you to death, your majesty." Regina's eyes went wide, as her mind franticly tried to think of a way out of this. She felt terror grip her when a sword suddenly appeared in Rumplestiltskin's hand. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw Emma Swan, and Henry watching from a few feet away, and as the sword swept around, her last thought was of Henry, just before her head was severed from her body.
