McCree finished packing his duffle bag and slung it over his shoulder. The last thing he did was put his revolver in it's holster and put on his hat. He walked out of his room to the door across the hall.

He proceeded to hammer on the door with his fist like a caveman. "Genji", McCree yelled, "you ready to go?"

Genji opened his door holding his sheathed sword in one hand and a standard issue duffle bag that was identical to McCree. He glared at the cowboy, "must you always be so loud?"

"Darn tooting", McCree said as held his belt buckle in his hand and tried to strike a classic gunfighter pose.

Genji slammed his own face and growned in annoyance.

As they said there way out of the base McCree stopped at Gabe's office. He looked through the door way to see Reyes at a table looking over an old map.

"Bye dad", McCree shouted happily, "me and Genji are off on a quest for revenge".

"I swear to God, McCree, if you call me dad one more time I will rip your balls off, put them in a blender, and feed them to you through a straw!"

"Okay, love you too, dad", McCree said just managing to duck out of the door way to not get hit with a blast from Gabe's shotgun.

...

Hanzo opened the door to his apartment. It hadn't been easy after leaving the family dynasty of crime but he couldn't take it anymore, especially after Genji. Now he just tried to scrach out a meager living.

He turned on the lights and shut the door behind him. Before he could take another step a chair spun around to reveal some sort of cyborg with a katana in it's lap. Hanzo instinctively scanned the room for anything he could use as a weapon but they seemed to have thought about and remove anything.

A man in a cowboy get up step out from the corner hall way with a revolver in one hand and a lit cigar in the other.

"Who are you?", he asked knowing their was no way he could get out of the room before being shot.

"Do you not recognize me, brother?", The cyborg asked with venom in his voice.

That's when Hanzo saw it-his eyes. He knew those eyes. He'd seen the life drain out of them by his own hand.

"G-Genji?!"

The cyborg nodded as they maintained eye contact. He waved his hand at the cowboy who proceeded to shoot Hanzo in each knee. Hanzo fell on the ground in total agony.

"Justice is served", the cowboy said.

Genji got up out of the seat, "goodbye Hanzo".

"Please", Hanzo begged through tears, "just kill me"

"No", Genji didnt even bother to look at him ," I'm not you"

"Dont just leave me here like this", Hanzo pleaded, "We're brothers!"

Genji turned his head just enough for Hanzo to see one of his eyes, "I got a new brother and he would never dream of killing me".

With that the too left through the fire escape.

...

Genji sat across the fire from McCree.

After they had left Hanzo's apartment they could here the wail of police sirens getting closer. Probably to investigate reports of two gun shots going off.

They made their escape perfectly befitting two high trained operatives. And by that he meant they had hot wired a near by van and tore rubber as they speed down city streets, bobbing through traffic at a hundred in twenty miles an hour while McCree held his entire upper body out the window as he fired his pistol in the air yelling, "YEEHAW!"

Now they were camped out in the woods trying to lay low.

"That was a pretty good time", McCree broke the silence, " reckon we otta get in contact with Gabe soon".

"Agreed", Genji nodded, "tomorrow".

"Tomorrow"

Genji hadn't lied to Hanzo. He'd found a new brother. He was brash, bold, idiotic, and as loyal as they came.
