The Dark Nexus Project : The First Encounter
CHAPTER 1 : Mission 0-1 (Prologue)
It had only been 2 months, and the war was looking good for the Freedom Fighters. However, for safety precautions, Sonic ordered Dark, along with Shadow and Tails, to drop in on Eggman's forces and spy on them for a while, see what they might do. But when they got there, something was horribly wrong. Instead of seeing badniks and infantry units retreating, they were gearing up for a new offensive, that would turn the tables completely and catch the Freedom Fighters in a nasty position. But, before they could report back and tell Sonic what was going on, they were captured.
Unfortunately, Shadow and Tails were already dead, preferring to die than tell them what went on in Knothole and Station Square. It was Dark's turn next. A guard was approaching Dark's cell. When the guard got there, Dark begged for medical attention in exchange for information. The guard shot an ugly sneer at him, and unlocked the cell. Before anyone could tell what was going on, there was one dead man on the ground and his gun in Dark's hand. (That's one out of several million) Dark tallied in his head. It was time to get out of that hell hole, and warn the Freedom Fighters of the upcoming attack.
