Riley and Maya had tried to barricade the bay window but it was no use. Lucas burst into Riley's room through the bay window. When it came to his friends, nothing could stop him.
"Guys can I talk to Riley alone for a minute?" asked Lucas.
"Sure Ranger Rick."
"Okay."
"I'll go get more cereal."
Maya, Zay, and Farkle all left Riley's room and closed the door behind them.
"Lucas why are you here?"
"Maya told me what's going on. I'm worried about you."
"What about you Lucas?! You don't think I'm too weird?"
Lucas couldn't believe what he was hearing. He couldn't understand how someone couldn't love Riley. She was goofy, adorable, smart, quirky, and beautiful. She was an amazing friend. What was there not to love about her?
"No! Riley I love everything about you! You're special, goofy, quirky, adorable, and loyal. You're an amazing friend and you're beautiful."
With that, Riley wiped the tears from her eyes and looked up at him.
"You really think so?"
"Yes I do and it pains me to see someone I care about like this. Nobody deserves this, not you or Farkle, or anyone. Maya, Farkle, me and everybody else love you for who you are. Don't let one person take away who you are. Because who you are is pretty amazing."
Riley looked up at him again and he sat next to her on the bed.
"There's my Riley," said Lucas as he wiped the rest of the tears from her eyes.
"What am I supposed to do Lucas?"
Lucas looked around the room until he sees Riley's crown from the election and was suddenly inspired. He went over to pick it up and sat back on the bed with it.
"Lucas what are you doing?"
"I'm reminding you who you are," said Lucas as he put the crown on Riley's head. "The first time I put this on you, I said that to me you're a princess. You still are. So you are going to get up, be strong, and let your friends help you get through this."
"Thank you Lucas," said Riley blushing.
"You're welcome Riley."
Lucas and Riley looked at each other for a moment before they both leaned in and kissed. After pulling apart, they just sat there on Riley's bed smiling and holding hands.
"So are you going to be okay?"
"Yeah I'm going to be okay."
