A/N: I hope you guys like this. I just thought of it and wrote it at 5:30 in the morning. Took me like five minutes. Enjoy my lovely readers.

MY ESME.

"Carlisle?" my angel said.

"Yes dear Esme?" I replied.

"I'm worried about Edward." Esme said. "He's never loved anyone before. We all have who we love. Emmett has Rose. Jasper has Alice. I have you. But Edward doesn't have anyone. It saddens me to know that Edward is sad, even if he doesn't show it."

I wrapped an arm around my beautiful angel and said, "Esme dear. One day, the time will come, and Edward will fall in love. No need to worry about him. He'll find his true love one day. And when he does, we'll all know it and be happy for him."

"You're right." Esme said. "You always are."

"Of course I'm always right." I said with a chuckle, "I went to medical school Esme. What did you expect?"

"You not to be so sarcastic." Esme said.

I laughed and took her hand.

"Esme." I said. "I love you so much and that will never change."

"Will you always stay by me?"

I smiled, but couldn't believe it. My wife, my angel, my Esme, was asking if I was going to stay by her? She had no idea.

"Esme," I said seriously, "I will stay by you forever and ever. Every day and every night I will leave you never. Even if I wanted to. I'd always be right next to you. Because I love you and you know it's true. Esme Cullen, I love you."

"Wow Carlisle." Esme said. "I didn't know you were a poet. Bravo."

I blinked and thought back to what I had just said. Whoops. I didn't mean to sound like a poet. Ah well, it touched Esme's heart and that's all that matters to me.

I shrugged. "O no," I said, "now you found out my secret. No one was supposed to know. I must punish you now dear Esme."

"How will you do that Dr?" Esme asked me.

"By never leaving your side," I whispered, taking her hand in to both of mine and kissing her softly.
