Bushidō , simply known as the 'Way of the warrior', is a codex most samurai followed and

with the help of the seven virtues, I wrote a little story about the young warrior Keichii Enjoujii.

With his impressions, thoughts and experiences you are going to know more about Bushidō.

Chūgi 忠義 - Loyality

Current timeline 1417 A.D.

May 10th *It was a long winter*

'As me and my comrades were sitting on the silent snow after a long exhausting battle against a troop of the Miyomoto clan our general walked into my direction.

Keichii, you were a coward as you were hiding behind some bushes. Aren't you ashamed of

yourself?

I tried not to cry as hard as I could and remained silent until this bloodthirsty monster left. Sometimes I question whom we shall be loyal to. To our emperor or to ourselves?'

Truth Makoto 誠 - Truth

June 4th

'Our destination was Okohama, an uprising city in the north of our current location. The reason why we travel so far is because our emperor is in war with rebels who live there.

He is wise and knows what's best for our nation, is what the other Samurai tell all the time but in reality they hate him due of his cruel actions against his own people. They don't tell the truth so how can I believe them when they start a revolution?'

Yu 勇 - Courage

June 17th

'It was already in the middle of the night when I heared a strange noise. I've imagined everything due of our stay near a lake and sadly I was right. I saw our general getting grabbed on the feet by a kappa who wanted to get him into the ice cold water. Never have I felt so much sweat on my body but I grabbed my sword, still afraid and defeated this creature. The general cried and walked back into his tent. What a coward.'

Jin 仁 - Humanity

August 4th

'We arrived Okohama but what was the first thing I could see? My comrades, I already used to call my brothers straight up raped the lonely women whom husbands are in the battlefields in front of their children who had to watch these cruel scenarios. I couldn't believe my own eyes. Where's the humanity?'

Gi 義 - Honour and Rei 礼 - Politeness

October 5th

'I was home again by my beloved wife but it was my duty to go to my emperor to tell him everything I knew.

Why should I even care?, he told me.

The rapes, the battles, creatures - Everything seemed like a cheap joke to him and he laughed as I would've told him an actual joke.

I refused to remain silent, ignored his blasphemous ignorance and my punishment and yelled :'You don't have any honour even if you wished for it.'.

Then I ran as fast as I could but the guards caught me and put me into the rice fields. Samurai means 'to serve someone'. Now I shall serve as peasant, as slave, as idiot due of my own so called honour.'

Legend

Keichii Enjoujii didn't become a legend because of his skills as warrior. He honestly wasn't even fighting on the battlefields.

He's a legend because he was the first Samurai who questioned his duty, authority and codex.
