Ok so I got a review from a user who is called FixedURFic. This person clearly does what they say so I'm posting this version as well.
~AP~
Wandering aimlessly through an empty muggle street in mid-summer was not something Albus wanted to be doing. He hated it in Godrics Hollow, hated hiding what he was. How could he become the greatest wizard of his generation if he couldn't practice outside of school? Sighing, he turned the corner onto his street. He knew he should have been at home with his brother, but he could only tolerate so much time in Aberforth's presence. Quite honestly, he hadn't much more aptitude than a squib.
Albus stopped, hearing a noise coming from the alleyway to his right. Curiosity got the better of him and he went to investigate. What he saw made his heart leap with joy. Hidden away behind an abandoned house was a boy about his age, performing magic without the slightest care. His blue eyes came to rest on Albus and he quickly ceased the spell, instead pointing his wand defensively at the newcomer. "Who are you and why are you spying on me?"
Albus pointed his own wand at the boy. "My name is Albus Dumbledore. I heard a noise and came to investigate. Who are you?"
The other boy smirked and lowered his wand. "My name is Grindelwald. You know, for a moment I thought you were one of them."
"One of who?" Albus asked.
"A mudblood."
Albus scowled, "I'm pureblood!"
Grindelwald smirked again and began to walk away without any further comment. Fascinated by this mysterious stranger, Albus attempted to stop him from leaving. "Wait! Don't you want to talk some more? I can't stand being alone in this place."
Grindlewald turned. "I'll write to you soon, and we can talk as much as you want, Albus Dumbledore. There is much I can teach you about our world."
As Albus watched Grindelwald leave, he smiled to himself. He had a feeling this would be the start of an interesting friendship.
