Title: Happiness
Author: Cindy Ryan
Catagory: Fluff
pairing: Tony/Michelle
Notes: This is just a fluff piece inspired by the Fourth of July. It probably doesn't fall in with the time line of the show
but thought I'd write it anyway. :) Thanks to all those who've left feedback on my previous 24 stories.
It was nearing nine thirty on the Fourth of July. The sky was getting just dark enough
for the firework display to begin. The park was crowded with familes spread out on
blankets several with picnic baskets.
Michelle Dessler lay on a blanket content to be in Tony Alemeida's arms as he
stretched out beside her.
Michelle snuggled closer to Tony as she watched the sky. Twenty four hours ago
Michelle wouldn't have dreamed that there was even a chance at a relationship with
Tony.
Now here they were.
Tony tenderly pushed a stray brown hair behind Michelle's right ear as he asked. "Penny for your thoughts?"
Michelle smiled as she turned to face him. "I was just thinking of how happy I was to
be here with you."
Tony smiled. "The feeling's mutual. This is just the beginning for us. I promise we'll find
a way to make this work."
Any further conversation was drowned out by the booms of the colorful fireworks.
Tony smiled as he tightened his hold on Michelle's waist and drew her close.
Together they watched the fireworks light up the night sky.
