All my love to long ago

All my love to long ago

I was old

When I was young

Then righteousness befell me

After that I fear I may have been

Something of a dandy

What a silly creature I'd become

With that scarf that hung so low

I began to think things over more

And a softer me would show

My ego overrode me

Which at the time I thought was fine

Gave way to colder thinking

When I almost crossed a line

Confusion gave way to the war

Which made me full of vengeful rage

Now I'm lonely sitting here

The tardis is my cage

So I hold my vest and nod to you

While a recorder plays a tune

I drive away in Bessie

While dancing like a loon

And play a match of cricket

Then snidely I'll offend

As I plan my secret plans

Just a moment I can spend

Now I feel fantastic

And with all the things I know

I nod with a simple smile

All my love to long ago.
