Of recent, I've been attempting to fill my days working at the Bodley while awaiting my husband's return from some interminable case. Today is Valentine's Day; any observance of such Holmes considers 'overly sentimental'. So do I; and yet, I still don't like being apart.

The day was unusually warm and I was wearing a short white jacket instead of my greatcoat. Hurriedly gathering papers, I stalked out and walked right into a gaunt, grey-suited, unshaven man. Papers falling unheeded, I pulled this man into a kiss that was every bit as exciting and unexpected as our first had been.
