Clove is a troubled foster kid who feels alone in life. Cato is a rich playboy who has everything he could ask for, exept love. The have no reason to cross paths, until tragity strikes. Cato’s Uncle Brutus passes away. Brutus is a childhood friend of Cloves drunk foster dad, Haymitch. What happens when the two teenagers run into each other at the funeral? Rated T for cursing

Clove sitting on her bed doing homework, hoping Haymitch comes back after she's asleep. Haymitch is a horrible drunk. He doesn't clean up after himself and is never sober, ever. Clove wanders if she will see him sober in her lifetime. Probably not. When he is home he is either passed out on the couch or screaming at her calling her "a dirty slob." Yeah right. He's the one who makes the messes and she's the one who cleans them up. She never invites anyone over and stays in her room when she is home. Her parents died when she was three in a car accident. She doesn't remember much about them.

Cato is sitting in his California king bed pretending to do his homework, while he waits for his brother to come home and do his homework for him. Cato is the richest kid at his school. Every girl want sleep with him and every boy wants to be friends with him. His latest hookup was a girl named Glimmer. She is kinda slutty to him and who names their kid Glimmer, seriously. His brother is disgusted by his hookups. Probably jealous that he banged his crush Katniss Everdeen. He hears Peeta's door open.
