NICO
Shadow travelling is not easy. Especially when you have an angry satyr, a Roman warrior princess and a giant statue of a certain wisdom goddess. Nico was exhausted. After they split up with the seven, they had been shadow travelling for quite a while. They stopped at China for lunch (though how they end up all the way to China was beyond Nico's understanding), and now they are stranded in Egypt. This is the thing about shadow travelling. If you are not focus, you won't know where you'll end up.
Reyna was sitting under the shade of a palm tree. Her eyes are full of sadness. Like she had lost something very close to her. From what Jason told him, Reyna had come to meet them with her Pegasus, Scipio but she had to put her out after monsters attack them or something. Nico is not a big fan of flying horses but he can't stop feeling sorry for her. He can't sense Scipio's death. Being the child of Hades, the son of the underworld, he can sense when a mortal die, but not animals of nature. But he can still sense her sadness, child of a god or not. But Reyna is a tough girl, Nico knows better than to go and comfort her. She can manage on her own.
Coach Hedge was sitting close to the Athena Parthenon. He seemed to be in a deep thought, and a little bit jumpy now. Even for a goat. Nico know he was hiding something from them. And the look that he gave to Frank when he suggested that Coach Hedge should go home with them puzzled Nico. Was it gratitude? Never knew that Coach had that look. and those iris messages in his room. Nico can actually hear Coach Hedge cry at night. or was it something that goat usually do ?
"We shouldn't be here long. This is not our territory" Reyna said as she brushed off the sand from her pants. "We don't know what monster Gaea will send after us here". Nico has no problem agreeing with that. They have closed the Door of Death thanks to Percy and Annabeth venturing in Tartarus together to close it from the inside. Percy and Annabeth, Nico can't help but to smile at that. Thanks to Cupid, now Jason knows his secret. "Stupid god of love in diaper shooting arrows, forcing me to blur out my secret. stupid Jason for being there." Nico mumbled to himself. "What was that?" asked Coach Hedge. "Nothing. Lets go" Nico replied as he hold hands together with Coach and Reyna as well as the statue.
And that is when Nico finally develop his phobia of scorpions.
