No-one notices
A/N: So this is rather depressing. I was just thinking about how everyone was all poor Harry he lost everything is godfather Dumbles. But what bout Remmie? He knew Dumbles for longer and Dumbles and him must have been close. It was actually written before DH but I never posted it cos I had retarded ages but I think they were sorted but if there wrong don't hate me. Un-beta'd because I believe she's still on hols. Enjoy.
No-one notices how he has nothing left. Everything has fallen apart for him but they expect him to go on. No-one notices he stopped going on a long time ago.
He was bitten by a werewolf when he was 7. He lost his sister and his humanity to Fenrir Greyback. He was no longer normal, he was strange. He though then he had lost everything but he was wrong.
His Grandparents disowned him when he was 11. They didn't like that he was a monster. He was an only child with no Aunties or Uncles. He thought then he had lost everything but he was wrong.
His parents died when he was 17. His father killed in the war, his mother dead from the grief. He was left an orphan with no remaining family. He thought then he had lost everything but he was wrong.
Three of his best friends died when he was 21. Betrayed by the man he loved, torn from his life. The baby boy left to grow with his relatives. He thought then he had lost everything but he was wrong.
His best friend died to him when he was 33. Discovering the truth returned one friend but stole another. He could barely be happy. He thought then he had lost everything but he was wrong.
His soul mate died when he was 35. After only two years together he was stolen away again. All of his best friends dead, or as good as. He thought then he had lost everything but he was wrong.
His oldest friend died when he was 36. The person, who had given him a future, accepted him despite everything. His mentor, his idol. He thought then he had lost everything and he was right.
But no-one notices this. No-one notices that the man behind the amber eyes was dead. People didn't notice that he had no-one but was still going on. They expected him to live for them, to fight for them, to protect them and to love them. But how can you love when your empty? How can you protect when nothing is worth protecting? How can you fight when you have nothing left to fight for? How can you live when you heart was destroyed long ago?
Because really Remus Lupin died when he was seven years old it just took him a while to finish it.
But he doesn't mind that no-one notices. Because he knows that people need to be concerned with those who can live those lives not those who never have.
