Hi so im new to the fanfiction community. This isnt really a proper fanfiction, just an idea that stuck to my head after i watched Black Market (S7EP4).

"You look pale. Please, go home." Jane told lisbon for the second time, looking at her in concern. She looked pale and a little unwell.

"It's nothing. I'll just have some honey water and it'll fix my throat." She'd brushed of his concerns just like that.

They had been bent over the screen showing the surveillance camera footage when she swayed on her feet as she had made to straighten up. She nearly fell to the floor but was prevented by Jane putting his arms around her waist in alarm.

He'd asked her twice to go home but damn the stubbornness in this woman. She just wouldn't admit that she was unwell. Even to him, even while they were in a relationship.

"Are you all right?" Jane asked with concern lacing his voice. He didn't loosen his hold on her waist even though their co workers had turned their heads to look at them. He was still concerned she might have another fit of dizziness if he released her.

"Just a headrush" she said blushing and moving out of his arms. Too fast. The room spiraled around her and she almost lost her footing again and would have fallen to the ground again had Jane not caught her. She felt his arms encase her back and leaned against him to regain her balance.

Jane looked at Abbott with worry in his eyes, silently appealing to him to intervene because he was sure Lisbon still wouldn't listen to him.

"Lisbon I think Its better that you go home. Take a break. Get well and then you can come back."Abbott spoke to her in a gentle tone."Jane, why don't you drive her home?"He addressed Jane as a look of tacit understanding passed between them.

"Of course" Jane agreed readily."Come on" he turned to Lisbon, still keeping his arm protectively around her in case she felt dizzy again. She didn't protest this time. "I need to get my things." She told Jane."

"Lets get you seated first then I'll get them for you." Jane could see she wasn't well and wanted her in the car in case she changed her mind once more.

He led her towards the elevator and shifted his arms to her shoulders, lightly hugging her as they were in the elevator. She melted into his comforting hold.

Once they were in the parking area Jane made sure she was stable before guiding her towards the car with a protective hand on the small of her back. He made sure she was comfortably seated before fastening her seatbelt himself.

"Thank you" Lisbon whispered softly as he straightened up.

"No problem." Jane said lightly as he bent towards her to place a tender kiss at the corner of her lips.
"Lets get you home now shall we?"

Teresa had dosed off a while before they reached her house. She looked so at peace with her eyelids closed and her lips parted slightly that jane couldn't bring himself to wake her up. Instead of rousing her from her peaceful state, he unlocked the door then came back to carry her inside.

Reaching down he unbuckling the seatbelt before placing one arm under her knees and the other around her shoulders so that he was lifting her up. She stirred and murmured something incoherent before going quite again. Still in her sleep she snuggled further towards him, the warmth comforting her in her sleeping state.

Jane laid her down on the bed and looking at her he thought of how his life had turned aroud. How he had a second chance at life with her and decided he would never give it up.
