Takes Place after Tonight's episode 11-17-05, alternate ending.

Neela stumbled with her keys trying to open the door. She drops the oversize jacket on the floor along with her keys. She takes off her tank walks lazily into the bathroom. Turns on the water, hot steam pouring out immediately. Walks into the showers, letting the water pour, trying to get the adrenaline out, her feeling of fear. She was tired now, she stood under the water for like an eternity before getting out.

She walked into her room, grabbed tee and some sweats. She didn't care that her hair was dripping. She just sat in the corner of her bed staring into open space. A tear started streaming down her cheek. Then came another, she heard the door open. She didn't move. A light peered at her face, Ray had opened her door. She still didn't move.

Ray knocked first but since she didn't answer he opened the door slowly. When Abby told her she had left, he was worried. Abby told him she was having problems breathing, he didn't want her to be alone. He saw the trail of clothes when he came in. She was sitting on her bed, just on the edge, looking at what Ray didn't know. He walked towards when no protest came, he sat next to her on the bed.

"Hey," he only said.

Neela didn't turn, "A lot people died today, and all I felt was adrenaline and excitement" she said in disgust.

"Theirs nothing wrong with that, whatever keeps you going to save their lives," he told her.

"Those two kids lost their mother," she said trying to hold her tears in.

"Neela..." Ray said trying to find the right words.

"Is Gates okay?" she asked.

"He's fine," he said. Neela just nodded. Both sat their quietly, then he heard it. He heard her tears, her sob. He turned her around looked at her in the face.

"I'm here." He said envelope her in his arms, she just held on tight she needed the comfort. He scooted himself onto her bed, she continued crying and he just held her tight letting her release all the emotions she had been holding. A few hours later the cry disappeared and they both fell asleep.

Ray woke up first the sun trying to pear through the curtains slowly he untangled himself from Neela. Lingerly he kissed on the head. She looked peaceful he thought. He picked up him shoes and walked out of her room.

A few minutes later Neela woke up herself, "Ray?" she whispered. She remembered him being with her last night. Ofcourse he ran away, she thought. The more she woke up the more her sense were waking up as well. She swore she smelled coffee and bacon. She grabbed a scrunchy to tie her hair, when she heard her door open.

"I knew you would be awake." Ray said walking into her room with a tray of breakfast. Big plate of eggs, bacon, pancakes, and fruit.

"That's all for me." Neela said surprised.

"Well for both of us, but made for you," he winked. Neela thought she blushed, she hoped she didn't.

"Thank you for last night," Neela said.

"You're welcome, you know I'm always here for you." Ray told her sitting next to her on the bed like last night. This time the tray separated them.

"Thanks," she smiled.

Ray smiled at her, " Eat!" he said feeding her a peace of bacon.
