Title: Wisconsin Dells Family Adventure
Dear Emmett,
You and Rosalie thought it was hilarious that I wanted to bring
Bella and Renesmee to Wisconsin Dells, the gitchiest
place on earth. Well, we are having the time of our
lives! I have such great memories from when we were kids
and mom and dad would drive us up here from Chicago for a
fun-filled week of waterparks and sightseeing. (Ok, there was
that one time you spun us on the tilt-a-whirl until I puked. I
still haven't forgiven you for that.)
We have gone to so many of the old places we went to as kids.
Renesmee enjoyed Storybook Gardens, even though I don't think
the place has been updated since 1970. It reminded me of the
time you hurt your bum trying to be Jack Be Nimble and jump
over the candlestick.
I think Renesmee's favorite attraction was the "duck ride" tour.
She was thrilled when the duck went from the land to the water, but
the best part was that she actually got to drive the duck when we
were out on the lake.
Bella and I had a chance to take a picture at that old time photo studio in Downtown Dells. Renesmee didn't want any part of that. She said we were embarrassing. I really wanted to do the gangster picture like the one we did with mom and dad, but Bella insisted we do this cowboy picture. I look ridiculous, but it is pretty hilarious.
Remember Paul Bunyan's Lumberjack Camp? Yep, it's still there and it is still all-you-can-eat. The food was delicious. They just kept bringing the pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages and those amazing cinnamon donuts. I do think if you ever visit though, they may need to redefine "all-you-can-eat". Haha!
You can't visit the "Waterpark Capital of the World" without hitting
a few water parks! Bella would kill me for telling you this, but on one
particularly gnarly water slide, she had a little "wardrobe
malfunction" with her bikini top. Luckily there was no one around
and I'm the only one who got a peek at her nip slip! LOL
We are definitely planning to come back next year. Maybe you and
Rosalie can bring the kids and we can make it a big family vacation.
See you all when we get home!
Love,
Edward
