I'm a little new to doing Episode Tags, so I hope this is okay.

Tag for 2x05 – Clara confronts Jack about intimidating Jeffery.

"Matt told me what you did today…" Clara began as she leant up against the door of the hotel room.

Jack turned to look at her, frowning slightly as he put down the case file he was reading.

"Intimidating Jeffrey." Clara supplied when she figured Jack wanted to play dumb.

"We were working a case, I didn't have time to tell him all about you." Jack shrugged it off, turning back around and picking up the file he was reading seconds ago.

"Just out of curiosity, then," Clara took a few steps into the room, "What would you have said?"

Jack smiled, what he would have told Jeffery is what he would have told anyone else, even when she lost Brad and travelled the world, she never lost any part of her personality, she was still the same, just a little lost, and more hesitant with going back to the US. Which, Jack had expected.

"I would have told him how smart you are, how you take so much pride in your knowledge of the world, how dedicated to the job you are, and how dedicated you are to your friends." Jack once again put the file down, turning so he could lean against the countertop.

"He already through you were beautiful, so, he didn't need to hear it from me,"

"Do you think I'm beautiful?" Clara interrupted.

"Of course," Jack admitted, although his voice was uncharacteristically quiet.

Clara nodded with a smile, certain that a small blush had crept up onto her cheeks.

"Well, he works for the BBC, so he travels a lot, and so do I, so it would never happen." Clara pretended she didn't see the relief in Jack's eyes.

"Anything else you would have mentioned?"

"You speak half the languages in the East fluently, you can get by with about ten others, you're caring and considerate, you would never undermine another member of the team, you have a love for culture which makes you daring, you would travel the world with only $10 and a passport and be happy about it. Despite the fact, you work for the IRT and travel the world, you hate flying, although you would never turn down an adventure. Small talk bores you, you prefer to speak about something that interests you, or learn something new. You have a life goal to swim in each of the seven seas, and when you retire you want to live somewhere far away from civilisation and be surround by culture, nature, and beauty..." Clara stood shocked, she hadn't realised how much Jack knew about her, but not just knew, what he thought and what he saw.

"Jack…"

"We spend most of our lives in hotels together or on this jet, you get to know people." Clara felt slightly disheartened at the thought of Jack knowing Matt and Mae as well as he knew her.

"Well, it was never going to happen," Clara smiled, shrugging slightly. "I guess I wasn't ready anyway."

Jack reached over and took her hand.

"One day you will be ready, and just like the first time, you'll fall madly in love." Jack smiled, squeezing her hand before turning his attention to Matt and Mae who'd just walked in.

Clara sighed if only he knew. Her last statement had been a lie, she was ready, she was already madly in love, and she swore it was even better than the first time, but then again, Jack knew her better than Brad did.
